With its 300hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine and four-wheel drive, the family-friendly Leon Cupra 300 ST 4Drive is a force to be reckoned with out of the box. But for Seat tuning specialist JE DESIGN, it is the blank canvas on which to base their body, engine, suspension, and exhaust upgrades with the potential for up to 380hp and 285km/h. Shortly after the market launch of the base car, JE DESIGN put the car on their muscle-building programme with a wide-body kit. The trademark JE DESIGN Leon Cupra 300 ST Widebody delivers a purposeful look with a new front bumper with big air intakes, wider front and rear arches, matching side skirts and a rear insert in either gloss black or carbon look. The finishing touch to this 5,534 euro aerodynamic styling kit is a bespoke rear spoiler. A lowering spring set (191 euro) that matches the original dampers provides a 20mm drop in ride height and improved handling. For the ultimate in handling, JE DESIGN offers the KW-DDC plug & play suspension, which lowers the ride height by up to 45mm, and works with the factory adaptive damping. This is priced at 2,299 euro. To fill out the big wheel arches perfectly, JE DESIGN use their Twin Five Spoke alloy wheels in gloss black with polished edges. Sized 10.0J x 20-inch and wrapped in Hankook S1-Evo in 265/25ZR20 89Y tyres, this package costs 2,376 euro. Power upgrades for the JE DESIGN Leon Cupra 300 ST come in two-stages. Stage 1 uses an add-on ECU to increase engine power from 300 to 360hp, with torque up from 380 to 450Nm. This slashes the sprint to 100km/h from 4.9 to 4.7 sec, while top speed is extended to 265km/h. The use of 98 octane (Super Plus) is mandatory for this 2,099 euro upgrade. In addition to the add-on ECU, Stage 2 includes a 76mm downpipe (1,416 euro). This lowers the exhaust gas backpressure sufficiently for the turbocharged four-cylinder engine to make 380hp with 470Nm of torque. For 200 euro each a specific remap of the ECU top speed protocols allows the maximum speed to be increased to 280 or 285km/h. All JE DESIGN performance conversions carry a two-year guarantee from the date of the initial registration. If you are looking for a sportier soundtrack, JE DESIGN offers a stainless steel flap exhaust system controlled by Seat's original driving profile selector, which offers Comfort, Sport and Cupra modes. In the Comfort and Sport modes the exhaust flap remains closed and the exhaust sounds subtle sporty. With the flap fully open in Cupra mode, the exhaust note becomes music to the ears of Seat fans. Costing 2,499 euro, this system features either four distinctive 80mm tailpipes, or one 160 x 90mm oval tailpipe per side. This system comes with EC type approval. All prices include VAT, but not fitting and painting. Complete conversions are offered by JE DESIGN and included full TUV certification. Individual parts carry TUV approval. The flap exhaust system and Widebody kit have Swiss certification. For more information on the product range: www.je-design.com Copyright
